The Charles H. Walsh Sr. Academy & Career Tech High School will host its seventh annual Wine Tasting on Saturday, July 18, from 3 to 5 p.m. at 6935 W. Touhy Ave., Niles.
This year’s theme, “A Taste of California,” will feature a curated selection of California wines for guests to enjoy while supporting the students and programs of Walsh Academy.
For $75 per person, attendees will enjoy several flights of wine, appetizers, a guided tour of Walsh Academy and opportunities to win raffle prizes. Tickets are available online at Maryville Academy Wine Tasting Event Page.
Proceeds from the event will directly benefit the programs and services offered at Walsh Academy.
“This event is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together in support of our students while enjoying a unique and memorable afternoon,” said Dr. Ann Craig, principal of Walsh Academy. “It offers guests the chance to experience exceptional wines while learning more about the life-changing work happening here every day. We are grateful for the continued support of our donors and friends who help make opportunities like this possible for our students.”
Walsh Academy serves young people ages 14 to 22 who are experiencing academic, emotional, behavioral or intellectual challenges. It is the only school in Illinois offering vocational education specifically designed for students with special learning needs. The school is also a 13-time National Association of Special Education Teachers School of Excellence award recipient.
